CompreFloss Flossband

Comprefloss Flossband

Product Benefits

Comprefloss flossband is an essential performance and conditioning tool. The flossband is used for muscle or tissue flossing – a compression therapy technique with passive or active mobilization. This practice is often used pre- or post sporting event or workout. Nowadays some physical therapist are also using flossing in various treatment protocols.

An effective muscle flossing may serve the functions of:-

  • Increase muscle strength
  • Increase range of motion (ROM) of joints
  • Improving flexibility and mobility
  • Restore connective tissue
  • Improve muscle contraction efficiency
  • Improve blood flow

We have developed a range of flossband comprising of 4 different strengths to target generation of specific application levels for a differentiated stimulation of various deep tissue layers, just as it takes into account the different tolerance limits of patients. The different sizes can effectively target specific body parts – for shoulder, arms and hands, spine and sacral region, hips, legs, and feet.

How to choose your Comprefloss

Available in various lengths, widths and thicknesses. A few key factors to take note when picking out your Comprefloss:-

Thickness of flossband will play a role in addition to stretch force range (50% to 90% of the length of the band) in providing the tension for an effective tissue flossing.

Width of flossband to accommodate different part of bodies. The wider flossband offers twice coverage with same consistent suitable for knees or large joints instead of conventional wrapping of using 2 or more bands.

Guide for Comprefloss care – The usual pull of flossband (50 – 75%) to produce the compression force. The frequency of usage will cause a wearing effect on the flossband hence affecting the pulling force (determinant of compression effect).

Therefore, it would be recommended to change your flossband upon 6 – 9 months for active users.

How does flossing work?

Through various application possibilities, compression is exerted on the muscles by the band. The high fixation pressure enables an inhibitory effect on the pain receptors and underlying fascia and thus loosens up the adhesions and weak links. This takes place under active and passive movement of the extremity on which the band is wrapped. When the floss band is released, the fluid or blood stasis (“traffic jam”) is terminated and fresh blood hydrates the tissue (so-called sponge technique). This leads to the relief of different types of pain.

Flossing serve as primer for exercise or enhance recovery tool. It is also a useful treatment method in physiotherapy. The therapist “flosses”, when pain restricts the movement of the athlete or patient. Flossing improves the body’s power transmission pathways: it generates more power in the tissue, improves viscoelasticity and requires less energy for mobility because of axial transmission through the body leading to more efficiency. Due to the resultant pain relief, patients and athletes are able to move significantly better and faster, without resorting to pain relieving postures.

  • Tight wrapping/compression on joints and muscles
  • Fixation pressure on pain receptors and fascia
  • Preventive and acute applicability
  • Specific application levels1 due to 4 different band strengths
  • Positive effect on the joint structure, fascia and receptors.
